PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve abnormality determining precision of output of a throttle opening sensor. SOLUTION: In a system for comparing output (detected throttle opening) of the throttle opening sensor with a noise determining value N to determine the presence or absence of noise, the noise determining value N is set to a value raised by a predetermined valueαfor a base value Nbase when amount of changeΔTAtg per computation cycle of target throttle opening is larger than a threshold value H to prevent change of output of the throttle opening sensor in a transition period from being erroneously determined. On the other hand, when amount of changeΔTAtg of target throttle opening is below the threshold value H, the noise determining value N is returned to the base value Nbase to increase noise detection sensitivity.
