PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic device in which the time until start-up of the device is completed is shortened upon a warm reset. SOLUTION: This copy machine 1 is configured such that the warm reset is completed without performing initialization and check of a memory unit 12, although initialization and/or check, etc. of a CPU 10, an interface circuit unit 111, an image processing unit 112, a compression unit 113, and a communication unit 114 are performed upon the warm reset. Part of the memory unit 12 may be initialized and/or checked by a memory control unit 115 to which a command has given from the CPU 10 in which a reset process has been completed.
