PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a measuring method and a measuring device for simply detecting a malaria parasite. SOLUTION: The method for measuring the malaria parasite comprises preparing a sample for the measurement by hemolyzing erythrocyte in the blood to separate the malaria parasite, irradiating the prepared sample for the measurement with light, detecting the first scattered light and the second scattered light having a scattering angle different from the scattering angle of the first scattered light, and detecting the malaria parasite in the sample for the measurement based on the detected first and second scattered lights.
