Disclosed is a resin-coated metal plate comprising a metal plate, a polyester resin lower layer arranged on at least one side of the metal plate and having a plane orientation coefficient of not more than 0.03 and a thickness of 5-20 mum, and a polyester resin upper layer arranged on the polyester resin lower layer and containing 0.1-5 mass% of an olefin wax. The polyester resin upper layer has a plane orientation coefficient of more than 0.06 and not more than 0.15 and a thickness of 0.5-10 mum. Such a metal plate has both formability and adhesion required for container processing, and secures excellent taking-out properties even when the content is low in fat and high in protein.
