The lawnmower is normally equipped with two height adjustable lateral wheels (2) positioned in the rear area of the device and a front wheel (2) located in front of the unit assembled of the engine (22) and the cutting unit (21). The front wheel (2) can additionally be swiveled around a vertical axle (24). Each of the wheels (2) comprises two slide bearings located between the axle and the wheel hub. The axle has a conical outer end accommodated inside the conical inner space of a clamping element provided with a cylindrical outer surface complementary to the inner ring of one of the slide bearings.
