The belt may have a flat running side (1) in contact with the belt rollers. The belt matrix material (4) is reinforced with longitudinally-running cords (5). A set of diagonally running e.g. metal conductors (3) are fastened to the rear side (2) of the belt. Alternate pairs of ends are connected together to make a continuous circuit.
