<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control device for a vehicle, in which evasive travel performance of a vehicle is improved at the time of actuation abnormality of an engine having a solenoid drive valve. <P>SOLUTION: At the time of action abnormality of an intake valve 74 or an exhaust valve 75 as the solenoid drive valve, a fail time control means 112 (SA3-SA8) operates to select either one of a plurality of abnormality time control to execute abnormality time control for the engine 10, while the vehicle is driving-controlled in accordance with the executed abnormality time control.
