PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform locking of a first tightening means for performing locking of a tilt and a telescopic state, and locking of a second tightening means for locking the telescopic state at a different turning position of a single operation lever. SOLUTION: In a steering column device, a movable bracket 7 which is telescopic/tiltable is provided on a support bracket 1, and the first and second tightening means 4, 5 for locking the movable bracket 7 are provided on the support bracket 1. While a pin 18 is provided on a tip end of a first lever 17 turning integrally with a nut 11b of a left screw of the first tightening means 4, a long hole 19 composed of a linear long hole 19a and an arc-shaped long hole 19b is formed on a second lever 16 turning integrally with a nut 10b of a right screw of the second tightening means 5, and the pin is inserted to the long hole 19. A tilt and telescopic operation lever 28 is formed integrally with the first lever 17. When the tilt and telescopic operation lever 28 is turned, tightening of the first lever 17 is completed after completion of the tightening of the second lever 16. COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
