PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reproduce a DV data stream recorded on a disk-like recording medium without data processing. SOLUTION: The data reproducing device 1 comprises an input interface 11 for acquiring the DV data, an input buffer 12 for temporarily storing the inputted DV data, a data separating part 14 for separating the DV data, a data separating part 14 for separating an actual data from an AUX data accompanying the actual data, an AUX data reproducing part 15, a stream controller 16, a buffer memory 17 as a decoding operation area, a data reproduction processing part 18, for decoding the DV data, a DAC 19 for D/A converting the decoded DV data, and an output interface 20 for outputting the decoded data, and the stream controller 16 manages the input buffer 12 referring to a management table in which a read number, a frame number in the buffer, and a flag showing a state of a storage area are mapped to an area number for identifying a storage area for storing therein the DV data for one frame, and a pointer for specifying an area number for identifying a storage area to be allocated next.
