PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a refrigerator having a deodorizing function of high performance even in such a state that heat absorbing quantity of the refrigerator is low. SOLUTION: In this refrigerator wherein a cooler for refrigeration chamber 21 and a cooler for freezing chamber 23 respectively used as exclusive coolers are mounted in a refrigeration chamber 16 and a freezing chamber 17, a rotational frequency variable type deodorization exclusive fan 30 and a deodorizing device 29 composed of deodorizing catalysts 31, 32 are integrally mounted in a suction air trunk of a back duct 25, and the heat absorbing quantity is lowered by applying a vacuum heat insulating material and the like. The rotational frequency variable type deodorization exclusive fan 30 is controlled independently from electrically controlled components constituting the refrigerator, to operate the rotational frequency variable type deodorization exclusive fan 30 not only in cooling the refrigeration chamber 16 but also in cooling of the freezing chamber 17 and stopping the compressor 1, thus the volume of air passing through the deodorizing catalysts can be secured, and the deodorizing performance in the refrigeration chamber 16 can be improved.
