PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a device for stably supplying sewage residue to stably supply sewage residue without fluctuation in supply quantity. SOLUTION: This device comprises a sewage residue hopper 1, a sewage residue chute 3 connected with the sewage residue hopper 1, sewage residue level meters 7-1, 7-2 for detecting levels of the sewage residue in the sewage residue chute 3, and a controller 10 for supplying the sewage residue to the sewage residue chute 3 from the sewage residue hopper 1 when the quantity of sewage residue detected by the sewage residue level meters 7-1, 7-2 reaches a specific low (L) level, and stops the supply of sewage residue at a specific high (H) level. The low (L) level and high (H) level of the sewage residue are determined on a bottom face of the sewage residue chute 3, that is, on positions separated from a sewage residue breaker 4 and free from the generation of bridge of sewage residue.
