PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electromagnetic clutch capable of securely preventing a bearing from being seized by rapidly detecting a thermal load transmitted from a compressor housing thereto. SOLUTION: This electromagnetic clutch 1 comprises a clutch rotor 4 storing an electromagnetic coil 3, the bearing 6 pivotally supporting a clutch rotor 4 on the compressor housing 5, and a thermal fuse (current cutout device) 9 cutting out the energization of the electromagnetic coil 3. The thermal fuse 9 is inserted into the energization circuit of the electromagnetic coil 3, and installed in the compressor housing near the bearing 6. Thus, the thermal load of the compressor housing 5 is directly transmitted to the thermal fuse 9, the thermal load to the bearing 6 is rapidly detected, and the energization circuit of the electromagnetic coil 3 can be directly cut out.
