PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gear having a belt-type continuously variable transmission of reducing vibrations and noises by arranging respective components such as a moving back and forth switching mechanism, a pulley, and a starting unit in consideration of producing causes of vibrations and noises. SOLUTION: In the gear having a belt-type continuously variable transmission arranging a driving pulley 31 on an extension axis of an output axle of a power source 1, the gear comprises intermittent transmitting mechanisms 8 and 9 transmitting torque by accompanying intermittent engagement or contact between components, and a continuous transmitting mechanism 10 transmitting torque by continuing a contact state between the components and transmitting torque via fluid. Further, the intermittent transmitting mechanisms 8 and 9 and the continuous transmitting mechanism 10 are arranged in sequence of the intermittent transmitting mechanisms 8 and 9 and the continuous transmitting mechanism 10 from a near side of the power source 1 on the extension axis of the output axle.
