摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To alleviate contact stress and friction force between a rolling element and bearing rings/raceway grooves and the rolling element and a guide face in a cage axial direction even in higher-speed and higher-load conditions, improve service lives of both of the rolling element and bearing rings, and reduce costs. SOLUTION: As a material of the rolling element 5, steel containing at least 0.3 to 1.2 wt.% of C, 0.5 to 2.0 wt.% of Si. 0.2 to 2.0 wt.% of Mn and 0.5 to 2.0 wt.% of Cr is used. A carbonitriding layer having 0.3 to 2.0 wt.% of nitrogen concentration and 5 to 20 vol.% of retained austenite is formed on the surface of the rolling element 5. COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
