PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a basic body for packaging of a door locking device allowing an ordinary purchaser to attach the door locking device to a door body by himself/herself and to provide a packaging body. SOLUTION: This basic body 8 for packaging of the door locking device is constituted in such a way that it has a wall 2 corresponding to an indoor side wall face 1a of the door body 1 to be attached, a wall 3 corresponding to an outdoor side wall face 1b, and a hollow rectangular cylindrical part 4 allowing visual confirmation of the inside and a mounting part 7 for detachably mounting a lock main body 5 and a part 6 such as an operation member of the lock main body 5 in a fixed condition to the door body 1 is formed on each corresponding wall 2, 3.
