PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To bring it a theme to provide a polylactic acid fiber having a low shrink rate in boiling water, giving a fabric having sufficient dimensional stability to heat treatment in processing and bringing to a product and uniform appearance with moderate bulkiness and without irregularities caused by wrinkles and stripes. SOLUTION: The polylactic acid fiber having low heat shrinkability uses a polylactic acid containing a syndiotactic polystyrene at least in a part of the fiber.
