PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an occupant protection device of a vehicle to improve a protecting function of an occupant by changing a posture of the occupant to a seating posture suitable for protection of the occupant in correspondence with collision and collision possibilities of various cases. SOLUTION: This occupant protection device moves each part 4 of a seat within a prescribed target area in accordance with output from a collision prediction means 1 to predict collision and is furnished with a control means 2 to move the each part 4 of the seat, and the control means 2 moves a reclining means 3a so that inclination of a seat back 4a becomes a prescribed proper angle in accordance with output from the collision prediction means 1 and moves more than one of a cushion length changing means 3b to change and move length in the longitudinal direction of the seat back 4a, a side support moving means 3c to change and move an interval of a side pad 4c projected and provided on the side of the occupant on both side parts of the seat back 4a and a lumber support moving means 3d to change and move projecting quantity of a receiver surface 4d of a bottom part of the seat back 4a.
