BODY FRONT STRUCTURE OF AUTOMOBILE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a body front structure of an automobile capable of firmly resisting the external force given upwardly from a traveling road surface side while the automobile travels and the impact force given backwardly during a head-on collision. SOLUTION: The body front structure of the automobile comprises a front pillar 9 and an apron member 10 which extends in the longitudinal direction of a vehicle body 2 and supports a front suspension 3 by a front part thereof while a rear part thereof joined with and welded to a side face of the front pillar 9. A weld part 11 on the lower side at the rear part of the apron member 10 has a shape extending in a substantially vertical direction. The other weld part 13 on the upper side at the rear part of the apron member 10 has a shape extending in the longitudinal direction of the vehicle body 2. COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
