PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water supply system, the function of whose water quality modifying part is exhibited satisfactorily so that the quality of water to be supplied to equipment can be kept proper. SOLUTION: This water supply system 1 is composed of a feedwater line 2 and the water quality modifying part 3 arranged on the feedwater line 2 so that the water modified by the water quality modifying part 3 is fed to a boiler 4. A raw water hardness measuring means 11 for measuring the hardness of raw water before modified by the water quality modifying part 3 and a raw water residual chlorine concentration measuring means 12 for measuring the residual chlorine concentration of raw water are arranged in order to decide the proper operation condition of the water quality modifying part 3 to keep proper the quality of the water to be fed to the boiler 4.
