FLATTING AGENT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a flatting agent which suppresses surface roughening and forms a coating film with good performance. SOLUTION: This flatting agent comprises a composite aqueous emulsion containing chitosan or its derivative obtained by continuously or intermittently adding an emulsion of a free-radically polymerizable monomer to a reaction system in the presence of chitosan or its derivative and polymerizing it. An acrylic resin emulsion containing a carboxyl group and/or its salt can be used as the composite aqueous emulsion. COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
