PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To give an optical module applicability, without further machining it, in connecting it with an optical fiber or inputting/outputting as transmitting light, for example. SOLUTION: The optical module is realized that can deal with various outputting modes of light such as outputting of collimated light. Using a collimator optical system composed of at least two lenses, the module is structured with a fixed section (metallic housing 4) on the optical element side which includes an optical element and a collimator lens 3 on the optical element end of the collimator optical system, and also structured with a removable section (metallic plate 6) on the optical fiber side which includes a device fixed with an optical fiber 11 and a coupling lens 8 on the optical fiber end of the collimator optical system and which can be attached to or detached from the fixed section on the optical element side.
