PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coin cell with lead terminals, having thin total thickness, which can be produced well. SOLUTION: The coin cell has a housing case serving also as a terminal of one electrode and an opening seal plate serving also as a terminal of another electrode, wherein the respective lead terminals are connected electrically to the housing case and the opening seal plate. At least a peripheral portion of the housing case consists of a lamination steel plate, wherein the lamination steel plate is preferably formed of a stainless steel plate laminated with a polyester film. The housing case serves as a terminal of a positive electrode, and the opening seal plate serves as a terminal of a negative electrode. Manganese dioxide is preferably used as active material of the positive electrode, and lithium or lithium alloy is preferably used as active material of the negative electrode.
