<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display device capable of clearly discriminating a region reacting to a light source from a region reacted to external environmental light in a display screen, and of specifying the precise position coordinate of the light source. <P>SOLUTION: This device comprises an image data generating means for converting and outputting a region detected by a light detection means to digital image data, based on detection information showing the region; a region division processing means for image-processing the digital image data outputted from the image data generating means to a plurality of regions; a position arithmetic processing means for computing and determining the coordinates for specifying respective positions of the regions divided by the region division processing means; a shape parameter arithmetic processing means for determining the shape parameters for specifying the shapes of the regions determined by the position calculating means by calculations based on the coordinates; and an area arithmetic means for determining the areas of the regions based on the shape parameters by calculations. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
