PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a digital television broadcast signal receiver for determining a reception direction wherein a digital TV broadcast signal can accurately be received as the optimum reception direction of each channel. SOLUTION: The digital television broadcast signal receiver continuously scans all reception directions of a multi-directional antenna (S1), demodulates a received digital TV broadcast signal to detect a BER value (S2), and stores the detected BER value into a memory (S3). Then the digital television broadcast signal receiver detects an error minimum direction wherein the BER value is minimum among all reception directions to discriminate whether or not a plurality of the error minimum directions exist (S4), when there are a plurality of the error minimum directions (YES in S4), the receiver references the BER value of the reception directions adjacent to each of error minimum directions to determine the optimum reception direction of each channel (S5 to S10).
