PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a surveillance camera system novelly devised to be easy to view and use for a user by improving workability when installing a surveillance camera. SOLUTION: The surveillance camera system includes the surveillance camera 110, an image recorder 150, and an installation monitor device 170. The camera 110 includes a camera body 102 for recording an image by a flux of light from a subject, and an imaging lens 104 for focusing the flux from the subject. The monitor device 170 includes a monitor display 178 for receiving a video signal from the camera body 102, and displaying it under conditions that it is provided at a distance of distinct vision, and a monitor display support member for fixing the monitor display 178 to the head of the user.
