WATERPROOF STRUCTURE OF PRECISION DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the waterproof performance of a precision device waterproofed by a braid-like elastic member. SOLUTION: This waterproof structure of a precision device includes: a first casing 10; a second casing 20 jointed to the first casing 10; a groove part 22 provided along the joint part of the first casing to the second casing; a first end part 3a of the braid-like elastic member 30 stored along the groove part 11; a second end part 30b of the elastic member disposed parallel to the first end part 30a and adjacent thereto; a pressing part 21 formed along the joint part of the second casing 20 to the first casing 10 to press the first end part 30a and the second end part 30b; and a sealing part provided in a part of the joint part storing part 11a of the groove part 11 for disposing the joint part of the first end part 30a and the second end part 30b so that the cross area of a space part interposed between the groove part 11 and the pressing part 21 is smaller than the sum of the cross areas of the first end part 30a and the second end part 30c stored in the concerned part.
