PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for transplanting trees, requiring no skillfulness, light in weight of trees to be transplanted, easy in works such as digging up, transportation and planting, obtaining good rooting properties without watering after transplantation, much decreased in labor and cost, and widely applicable. SOLUTION: The method comprises washing a dug root 3 of a tree 1 to remove root soil, and filling a pulp 6 around the root 3 in a container 5 to wrap the surface of tree roots, wherein the pulp 6 contains water to be clayey. In that case, flour, arrowroot, brown sugar or the like is preferably added to the pulp 6 as a viscolizer. And the tree 1 is transferred with the container 5, the container 5 is removed at a transplanting place, water is suitably supplied to the plant and the tree 1 is planted. Or the pulp 6 mixed with water to be clayey is attached to the root, covered with a hemp cloth or the like, and the tree is transferred and planted with the hemp cloth. COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
