<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a transmitting apparatus, receiving apparatus and communications system for realizing interactive properties in a one-way communication system, such as TV broadcasting. <P>SOLUTION: A data transmitting apparatus 110 of a communication system repeatedly transmits a predetermined number of image data stored in a display image information storage unit 123, together with control information stored in a link information storage unit 125. Furthermore, a data-receiving apparatus 150 is provided with a reception separating unit 151 for separating one set of image data and control information from a broadcast wave, a received data storage unit 152 and reproducing unit 153 for storing and reproducing a result of the separation, a reproducing means for reproducing stored image data and outputting a video signal, and a control means for controlling the separation means, to separate other image data indicated by control information in the storage means, in accordance with user operation.
