<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce select shock when a range position detector is in the abnormal state. <P>SOLUTION: At least in the case of abnormality of the range position detector 42, the highest oil pressure is selected from a plurality of actual select operation oil pressures having a change pattern of the same signal. Thus, when the range position detector 42 is abnormal, abnormal slippage of a frictional engagement element can be restrained to reduce a shock in select operation when the range position detector 42 is abnormal. The oil pressure of a frictional engagement element for reverse traveling is controlled by the initial pressure, and the oil pressure of a frictional engagement element for forward traveling is controlled by solenoid pressure of the frictional engagement element for forward traveling. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
