<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a soldering iron in which a light beam emitted from a light source is efficiently converged around the iron tip through a simple structure. <P>SOLUTION: The soldering iron is provided with an iron tip, a shaft for holding the iron tip, and a grip for holding this shaft. The iron is also equipped with a concave reflection mirror 18 which is installed so that the concave side faces the tip end to form a collar of the grip at the connecting part between the grip and the shaft, and equipped with a light source 20 which is installed inside the aperture of this concave reflection mirror. The light beam emitted from the light source 20 is reflected inside the aperture of the concave reflection mirror and converged in the area around the point of the iron tip. Thus, through the simple structure composed of the light source 20 and the concave reflection mirror 18, the light beam emitted from the light source is efficiently converged around the point of the iron tip. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
