<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable restoration of a darkened pixel by impressing a reverse bias voltage only to a specific region even in the case the horizontal drive circuit and the vertical drive circuit have been formed already. <P>SOLUTION: A light emitting device is composed of an organic light emitting element having an anode, a cathode, and an organic compound layer pinched by the anode and the cathode, an active element for driving in which one of the signal terminals is connected to the anode of the organic light emitting element, a switching element for light emission in which one of the signal terminals is connected to a control terminal of the active element for the driving, a signal line connected to the other signal terminal of the switching element for the light emission, a selecting line connected to the control terminal of the the switching element for the light emission, the switching element for the restoration in which one signal terminal is connected to the signal line, a signal line for the restoration connected to the other signal terminal of the switching element for the restoration, a restoration element selecting line connected to a control terminal of the switching element for the restoration, a power supply line connected to one of the signal terminals of the active element for the driving, and a cathode voltage supply line connected to the cathode of the organic light emitting element. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
