<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cleaner-less type image forming apparatus where the improvement of transfer efficiency is made compatible with the stabilization of toner electrified amount by applying lubricant to a photoreceptor by a brush electrifying roller so that the amount of the lubricant included in developer in a developing unit may be at a fixed rate by controlling the applied amount of the lubricant in accordance with the consumption of toner in the case of bringing the lubricant into contact with the brush electrifying roller and applying it to the photoreceptor. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus has the brush electrifying roller 2a which electrifies the photoreceptor 1a while abutting on the photoreceptor 1a, a pixel counter 15 which counts the number of pixels, and the developing unit 4a which forms a toner image by supplying toner to an electrostatic latent image formed on the photoreceptor 1a and also removes the toner remaining on the photoreceptor 1a after transfer. The lubricant 10a and a lubricant abutting and separating means 12 abutting on and separating from the brush electrifying roller 2a are disposed on the periphery of the brush electrifying roller 2a, and the supply amount of the lubricant 10a is increased in accordance with the increase of the number of pixels counted by the pixel counter 15. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
