PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable telephone system capable of outputting a reproduced sound of music data with high quality, and excellent in convenience in addition. SOLUTION: A storage portion 4 stores a reproduction set value for an external speaker, a reproduction set value for an internal speaker, and music data. A controller 5 sends out to a speaker 8, a reproduced audio signal generated by reproducing the music data with the reproduction set value for the external speaker, when electrical connection between an audio output terminal 13 and an audio input terminal 15 is detected, and sends out to the output terminal 13, a reproduced audio signal generated by reproducing the music data with the reproduction set value for the internal speaker, when electrical connection between the output terminal 13 and the input terminal 15 is not detected.
