PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a battery state determination apparatus integral to a lead acid battery, which can be embodied with ease. SOLUTION: The lead acid battery has a structure that a battery state display section is on the upper surface, a battery state determination section is in the inside, and a battery state determination apparatus 12 in a plate shape fits into a recessed part formed on the upper surface 11 of the lead acid battery. Terminal parts of the battery state determination apparatus and the lead acid battery are electrically connected to a beltlike part to be connected to the battery state determination apparatus, by using a metal lead plate having a ringlike part to be fitted to a battery terminal. The ringlike part of the metal lead plate has a cushioning part, a portion of which is bent, a plurality of slits are formed in the ringlike part in the radius direction, and the inner diameter of the ringlike part has a dimension so that the battery terminal can be fitted into the ringlike part with ease. The upper surface of the battery state determination apparatus and the upper surface of the lead acid battery are in the same plane, and the boundary of them is coated with a sheet or film 13.
