<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sphygmomanometer capable of minimizing positional deviation that occurs on installation and also capable of improving the precision of measurement. <P>SOLUTION: When measuring blood pressure using the sphygmomanometer 10, an ischemia bag 15 of a cuff band 12 is arranged on a measurement position, such as the wrist 1 or the like, and the blood flow is hindered by compressing the arteries 2 and 3 through inflation of the ischemia bag 15. An elastic plate 11A comprising a plurality of flat plates 11a is interposed between the cuff band 12 and the ischemia bag 15.
