<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a variable capacity compressor which allows for a decrease in variations in pressure during operation with variable capacity without deterioration in a performance during operation with the maximum capacity. <P>SOLUTION: A main inlet 23 for maintaining a flow rate obtained during an operation with the maximum capacity and a sub-inlet 24 for reducing the flow rate enough to suppress the variations in pressure during operation with the variable capacity are formed in an intake path 21, and a valve disc 25 which receives an intake pressure on the front surface as well as a pressure from a crankcase on the rear surface is movably disposed in a valve chest 22. During operation with the maximum capacity, the valve disc 25 is moved backward by the intake gas flow to fully open both the main inlet 23 and sub-inlet 24, and during the operation with a variable capacity, the valve disc 25 is moved forward by a differential pressure between the intake pressure and the pressure from the crankcase to close the main inlet 23 with the subinlet 24 which remains open. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
