PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a communication terminal capable of enjoying contents of a terrestrial digital broadcast program while promoting downsizing, weight reduction and a low cost and to provide a program for a communication control processing. SOLUTION: A CPU 1 extracts audio data and character data from data resulting from receiving the terrestrial digital broadcast program on which different kinds of information items are multiplexed and stores the extracted audio data and character data to a memory 11. Then the CPU 1 reads the character data stored in the memory 11 to display a character string on a display section 13 and reads the audio data stored in the memory 11 to allow a speaker 15 or a headphone to sound the data, and sequentially changes a display mode of characters in the character string displayed on the display section 13 synchronously with a read timing of the audio data in this case.
