PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a plasma display device and a driving method thereof which enable efficiency of address discharge to be enhanced. SOLUTION: An insufficient discharge pattern that does not cause discharge in at least a (n-1)th and a (n-2)th sub-fields in sequence but causes discharge in an n-th sub-field is detected from among an inputted image signal, and the width of a scan pulse is increased during the address period of the sub-field where the insufficient discharge pattern occurs.
