PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reflective display medium of which the visibility and the texture is quite similar to those of paper, a display element and a display device using the same. SOLUTION: The reflective display medium which is characterized in that, in the case a diffuse light source is used as a light source, the reflective display medium has 50% or more reflectance toward 0°direction, has reflectance increasing in accordance with variations in the incident angle from 0°to 70°and from 0°to -70°and further satisfies inequalities L<SB>2</SB><SP>*</SP>/L<SB>1</SB><SP>*</SP>>1.4 and L<SB>3</SB><SP>*</SP>/L<SB>1</SB><SP>*</SP><1.2 in relations among lightness in 0°direction (L<SB>1</SB><SP>*</SP>), lightness in -75°direction (L<SB>2</SB><SP>*</SP>) and lightness in -15°direction (L<SB>3</SB><SP>*</SP>) with respect to parallel light from the light source incident with 15°incident angle (wherein a direction vertical to the display medium is defined to have 0°angle and that directions horizontal to the medium are defined to have±90°angles).
