PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a document reader which has increased reliability of mirror vibration restriction effect, a large permissible value for variations in size, and is easy to handle, and to provide a mirror vibration restriction mechanism for the mirror. SOLUTION: Each plate spring 20 is used such that it elastically comes into contact with a mirror 11 or the like held in a frame 14 and prevents or restricts vibration of the mirror 11 or the like. The plate spring 20 has cantilever 22 extending from its bent part 21 that is held by the side wall 14b of the frame 14. In each of the cantilever 22, a contact part 23 relative to the mirror 11 is formed near its leading end, and a projecting part 24 for interfering with the side wall 14b of the frame 14 is formed near its basal part, in order to position the mirror contact part 23.
