TEST METHOD AND TEST DEVICE OF PRESS STATE OF CRIMPING TERMINAL

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a test method and test device of press state of a crimping terminal which shows clear outline of photographed data in the press part of the crimping terminal even with a change in covering color of an electric wire and color of a background object, and is capable of accurately and properly testing the press state in the press part of the crimping terminal. SOLUTION: In the test method of press state of the crimping terminal 2, the press state of the crimping terminal attached to the end of electric wire 1 by pressing is tested by image processing. A press part illumination light 8 with a specific hue is cast on the press part 3 of the crimping terminal 2 and a background illumination light 10 with different hue from the press part illumination light 8 is cast on the background object 9 of the press part 3. The press part 3 and the background object 9 cast by those illumination lights 8 and 10 are photographed, and the photographed data are image-processed and position of the covering end 1c of the electric wire 1 in the press part 3 so as to test the quality of the press part 3.
