PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processor capable of executing effective smoothing processing. SOLUTION: The image processor discriminates whether or not an image consecutive to an image in an image region also exists at the outside of the image region to predict images (pixels X, Y) estimated to be in existence, discriminates whether or not repetitive images exist at the outside of the image region when the repetitive images exist in the image region at a prescribed interval so as to predict the image (pixels U, T) estimated to be in existence. The image processor applies the smoothing processing to pixels at the end of the image on the basis of the predicted images and the images in the image region on the precondition of existence of the predicted images (pixels W, V, U, T).
