PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an aging method of a plasma display panel with good power efficiency by shortening aging time. SOLUTION: The aging method of the plasma display panel comprises a first aging period, carrying out the aging by impressing a voltage restraining self-extinction discharge generated accompanying aging discharge generated when impressing the voltage so that a scanning electrode gets into higher-voltage side against a sustaining electrode, is impressed on either the scanning electrode, the sustaining electrode or an address electrode; and a second aging period, carrying out the aging by impressing a voltage restraining self-extinction discharge generated accompanying aging discharge generated when impressing the voltage so that the sustaining electrode gets into higher-voltage side against the scanning electrode, is impressed on either the scanning electrode, the sustaining electrode or an address electrode.
