PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotary electrical component which eliminates directionality in mounting a slider to facilitate mounting work and prevent erroneous mounting of the slider. SOLUTION: According to the rotary electrical component, the slider 7 has a pair of first and second contacting parts 7c, 7d arranged symmetrically on a line S2 passing the center C2 of the slider 7, and is mounted on a rotor 6 in such a way that the center C2 of the slider 7 is offset to the rotational center C1 of the rotor 6. The first contactor 7c comes in sliding contact with a first conductor 4 disposed on the circumference of a circle determined by the rotational center C2, and second contactor 7d comes in sliding contact with a second conductor 5 disposed on the circumference of the circle determined by the rotational center C2. The first and second contactors 7c, 7d, therefore, still come in sliding contact with the first and second conductors 4, 5, respectively, even if mounted in a reverse direction. This eliminates a limitation on the mounting direction (directionality in mounting) of the slider 7 to facilitate mounting work of the slider 7 and prevent erroneous mounting of the slider 7.
