PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an adapter for card type media which copes with a slot type reader/writer and into/from which a card type medium is easily inserted/extracted. SOLUTION: This card type medium 80 is provided with: a central part 85 formed within a fixed radium from the rotation center of rotation and including a recording part 90; and an outer part 86 formed thinner than the central part 85 and provided outside the central part 85. The adapter into which the card type medium 80 is inserted is provided with: a base part in a disk shape; an opening part 20 having at least the size large enough to receive the central part 85 of the card type medium 80 and opened so as to make the center of the opening coincide with the rotation center of the base part 40; and a holding part 30 provided outside the opening part 20 and having an adhesion layer 35 for adhesively fixing the outer part 86 of the card type medium 80 in a repeelably way.
