PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tape pulling out apparatus of a magnetic tape cartridge and a method in which an end part of the magnetic tape is pulled out stably and surely, and to reduce manufacturing man-hours and tact-up of the magnetic tape cartridge. SOLUTION: This apparatus is a magnetic tape pulling out apparatus 100 adsorbing an outer peripheral plane of a wound magnetic tape 9 and pulling put a tape end part. A tip part is arranged so that the tip part of the wound magnetic tape 9 can be abutted to the outer peripheral plane, the apparatus is provided with a tape pulling out tool 21 having an adsorbing part 21a adsorbing the magnetic tape 9, a supporting part 23 supporting the tape pulling out tool 21 so as to swing freely in the direction of a diameter of the wound magnetic tape 9, and a slide mechanism 25 moving the supporting part 23 along the tangential direction of the wound magnetic tape 9, at the lower side of this tip part.
