PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dynamic pressure bearing device capable of stably fixing a fixing surface of a housing on an inner periphery of a retaining member and obtaining desired fixing strength. SOLUTION: When a bottom material 10 is fixed on an inner periphery of a press-fitted section 7c of the housing by press-fitting, a fixing surface 7e of the housing 7 is set to be a retreated shape to an inner diameter side against a non-deforming range 7e2 by the amount equivalent to a deformed amount caused by press-fit of the bottom material 10 so that a fixing surface 7e of the housing 7 is set to be substantially a straight shape in an axial direction along an entire range of the axial direction.
