PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coating method for an inorganic plate by which a uniform thin coating film can be formed. SOLUTION: In this coating method for the inorganic plate, a dry type powdery material 1 containing cement, aggregate and fiber is applied onto a surface of the sheet-shaped inorganic plate 2. While being transported, the inorganic plate 2 is coated by ejection of the dry type powdery material 1 from a spray gun 3 in a direction opposite to the transportation direction. By this method, the dry type powdery material 1 can be uniformly applied onto a larger area even with the same quantity of the dry type powdery material 1 ejected from the spray gun 3 when compared with a case when the dry type powdery material 1 is ejected toward the surface of the inorganic plate 2.
