PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an aroma-releasing button, a button with an aromatic effect to be sewn to clothes with a thread. SOLUTION: The button to be sewn to clothes with a thread has one or a plurality of recesses or grooves in a button body. The recess or groove is filled with a solid or semi-solid aromatic material, or a porous body such as a sponge or cotton carrying an aromatic solution is loaded in the recess or groove. In another embodiment, the button to be sewn to clothes with a thread has a ring-like U-shaped groove bored on the upper surface. The U-shaped groove is filled with the solid or semi-solid aromatic, or a ring-like container loaded with a porous material such as a sponge or cotton carrying aromatic solution is detachably set in the groove.
