PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a SCI/MIPI-αvariant which holds the activity of a substantially unaltered state protein, but does not form the same large aggregation as the same. SOLUTION: This protein has a stem cell inhibitory activity, has an amino acid sequence containing a sequence of amino acid 28 to amino acid 93, represented by sequence No. 2, accompanying the replacement of an amino acid at at least one amino acid position selected from the group consisting of 29(Asp), 41(Arg), (Asp), 53(Glu), 60(Lys), 68(Lys), 69(Arg), 71(Arg), 76(Asp), 79(Glu), and 80(Glu), and does not significantly aggregate.
